Torquay United AFC is saddened to learn of the passing of former Gulls manager Dave Smith. Dundee-born Smith arrived at Plainmoor in October 1989, and after leading the Club to a 15th-placed finish, he steadily rebuilt a squad that would ultimately go on to win promotion the following season, shortly after his departure in April
