TUAFC would like to place on record its thanks to our Matchday Accessibility Ambassadors, Rhys and Sam, for the fantastic contribution they made towards fans’ experiences at Plainmoor in 2022/23.

With February’s home game v Southend designated as our ‘Unite For Access Fixture’ fixture, prior to the game, the Club announced the appointment of Rhys Morgan-Vale and Sam Balsdon as TUAFC’s Matchday Accessibility Ambassadors, with their primary role being to welcome fans old and new into the stadium, and being the main point of contact on matchdays for any supporters with any additional requirements.

Both Rhys and Sam have been ardent supporters of the Club for many years, and therefore it was no surprise to the Yellow Army that they responded to their new roles at the Club with their usual enthusiasm, as they went above and beyond to ensure that all visitors to Plainmoor were treated to an enjoyable and comfortable occasion.

As a Club that prides itself on being an inclusive environment for all supporters, the introduction of Accessibility Ambassadors to Torquay United AFC is the latest in a long line of initiatives that have been introduced with the aim of ensuring that Plainmoor remains an accessible and welcoming stadium for all who attend.

Everyone at Torquay United AFC would like to thank our dynamic duo for all their efforts last season, and we look forward to seeing you both here again in 2023/24!

Any supporters with any queries regarding matches at Plainmoor can contact Jo directly by emailing [email protected].
