TUAFC is delighted to announce that the Club has agreed a loan deal for Plymouth Argyle midfielder Will Jenkins Davies.

Torquay-born Will, 18, makes an immediate return to Plainmoor after being part of the The Pilgrims’ line-up on Tuesday evening, as United battled it out to a 1-1 draw with their Championship opponents.

Capped by Wales at Under-18 level, Jenkins Davies is regarded as one of his parent club’s most exciting young players, with the player so far making 11 appearances and scoring 1 goal in Argyle colours.

Having already earned a reputation for being a free-scoring midfielder and dead-ball specialist, United manager Gary Johnson is pleased to secure the services of another highly-rated young prospect, and will be hoping he follows in the footsteps of fellow Plymouth midfielder Adam Randell, who enjoyed a fine campaign on loan at Plainmoor during 2020/21.

“I’ve very happy indeed that Plymouth have agreed to Will Jenkins Davies joining us on loan,” said Johnson.

“A midfielder who can play in the middle, or up front, or wide, a Torquay lad who has lots of energy and ability.

“We welcome him to Plainmoor.”

Will is expected to be in the matchday squad for this weekend’s pre-season friendly against Exeter City at Plainmoor (22/07/23 3pm KO), with ticketing details available HERE.

This move is subject to FA & National League approval.
