Torquay United AFC is pleased to announce that former youth team defender Calum Thomas has joined Gary Johnson’s squad ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Having enjoyed a fine season with The Gulls’ Under-18s last term, United boss Johnson spoke of the decision to add the young centre-back to his roster, as the squad’s preparations ahead of the new season continue.
“We’ve taken on a young centre-half in Calum Thomas from our youth team,” confirmed the Gaffer.
“He did very well in the youth team last season, and has earned his place. Calum has great potential to warrant our decision to bring him into the full-time ranks.
“We’ve got high hopes for him, and he’s shown great potential – that’s why we’ve taken him on.”
