Supporters are being invited to pay their respects to our much-loved former player, Paul Holmes, ahead of his celebration of life service on Friday, 24th May.

Ahead of the service at Torquay Crematorium, the beloved VW Camper carrying Paul, along with the rest of the procession, will make its way down Marnham Road at approximately midday, before pausing outside Plainmoor’s Main Reception at 12.05pm.

During this time, any United supporters wishing to line the route to pay their respects and show their support are warmly welcomed to do so, with those in attendance encouraged to wear Paul’s favourite colour, Blue, in keeping with his wishes.

All those who held Paul close to their hearts – family, friends and supporters – will also be welcome to attend the Gulls Nest at Torquay United AFC from 5pm onwards in order to raise a glass in Holmesy’s honour.

Rowcroft Fundraiser

Following his recent passing, Paul’s wife Kate has paid tribute to Rowcroft Hospice for the care and support they have provided during the past few weeks, and with Paul himself having expressed a wish to fundraise for Rowcroft, supporters can help the Hospice continue their remarkable work by donating via a designated page set up in Paul’s memory HERE.
