Supporters are being invited to pay their respects to our much-loved former player, Paul Holmes, ahead of his celebration of life service on Friday, 24th May.
Prior to the service taking place at Torquay Crematorium, the procession will make its way past the Plainmoor pitch which Paul graced so many times as a player, with any United supporters wishing to line the route around the stadium welcomed to do so between approximately midday – 12:20pm.
With Paul’s favourite colour being Blue, those wishing to line the route are warmly welcomed to wear this colour, in keeping with his wishes.
All those who held Paul close to their hearts – family, friends and supporters – will also be welcome to attend the Gulls Nest at Torquay United AFC from 5pm onwards in order to raise a glass in Holmesy’s honour.
Rowcroft Fundraiser
Following his passing earlier this week, Paul’s wife Kate has paid tribute to Rowcroft Hospice for the care and support they have provided during the past few weeks, and with Paul himself having expressed a wish to fundraise for Rowcroft, supporters can help the Hospice continue their remarkable work by donating via a designated page set up in Paul’s memory HERE.
