Torquay United AFC has responded to today’s announcement that a number of TUAFC supporters have been issued with Football Banning Orders.

Torquay United AFC strongly condemns the behaviour of all named individuals receiving Football Banning Orders, and fully supports the action taken by Devon & Cornwall Police in response to this matter.

TUAFC prides itself on providing a safe and enjoyable environment for both home and away supporters to watch football, and we will continue to work with Devon & Cornwall Police to support the investigation of any offences connected with the Club.

Over the course of the last few months, a number of incidents relating to supporter misconduct have been reported to the FA by Match Officials, and this has resulted in Extraordinary Incident reports being lodged, and action subsequently being taken, against the Club.

Following this, the Club have been reminded by the FA of its responsibilities regarding supporter conduct, and has been warned that any future reports may result in further disciplinary action, such as a fine, and /or points deduction.

TUAFC is proud to represent the local community in which it resides, and therefore we are determined that the irresponsible and anti-social actions of a minority of individuals will not tarnish the hard-earned reputation of the Football Club, and its supporters.
