Monday 13th September 2021 marks a very special anniversary here at Plainmoor, with it being three years since Gary Johnson was appointed manager at Torquay United AFC
Back in September 2018, with the Club mid-table in the National League South at the time, Johnson had a lot of work to do, however, three years on and one league title later, there’s no doubt the Gaffer will be looking forward to what the future holds.
Speaking of his three-year anniversary, Gary said:
“I’m proud to have been at the football club for three years. There’s not many managers in the game at the moment that last three years at any one club, so I’m happy here. The Club has one hundred per cent turned around for the better, on and off the field.
“Even though we haven’t started as well as we would’ve liked, it’s a long season and I couldn’t be prouder to be manager of Torquay United Football Club.”
