Mark Halstead received recognition for his outstanding form in August earlier this week, as he was presented with the TUAFC Player of the Month award by sponsors, BVEC.
Having produced a number of stunning saves in the opening month of the campaign, United’s Number 1 emerged as the clear winner in the email vote, with the Yellow Army responding in their numbers to have their say.

TUAFC would also like to thank BVEC for sponsoring each Player of the Month award for 2022/23, with Company Director Dan Veasey at Plainmoor to hand over the first award in person.
“It’s fantastic, the Club is one of the biggest features of the South West,” said Dan.
“It’s great to be involved, and we have been for a few years now. It’s great for the Club, it’s great for us, and it’s good for the business as well, as I think it puts us in high regard with our clients that are involved with the Club.”
The Gulls’ in-form goalkeeper, meanwhile, was delighted to receive the award;
“On a personal level, I performed quite well to start with, although obviously I was a bit busier than I would’ve liked” said Mark.
“The highlight was probably the Halifax game, I think when you have a good game like that, if you come away with nothing, it’s just another game, but to get the clean sheet and get the win was pretty positive.
“Hopefully, there’s many more of them to come this season.”
