Kyle Cameron has remained a steady presence in United’s back line since joining in the summer. He talks us through Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Woking.

“In the first half I think we were off the pace,” said Cameron. “Front to back I think the gaps were a little big. They [Woking] were first and seemed to be second to the balls that were dropping.

“At half-time we had a sit-down with the manager and discussed what we thought we should do. We upped the tempo and made a few changes and we were better from that point. We created a lot of chances in the second half and could have ended up winning the game. It was a valuable point, I think.”

Cameron has been joined by new signing Jamie Sendles-White over the last two games.

“He’s just come in and I’ve had a ten days training with him; I don’t mind who I play with. Jamie has got that experience of playing at a high level with Queens Park Rangers and I think that’s good for the team.”

Despite keeping Woking fairly quiet they took a two-goal lead into half-time. The first came from a big deflection, the second was a magnificent finish.

“The first goal we conceded we were unlucky with. It got a deflection and went in. The second one was a long ball and a good bit of play from the forward. It seemed a goal out of nothing at the time. Other than that I don’t think they troubled us that much, despite having the majority of the ball in the first half.”

The Yellow Army played their part in Saturday’s fightback.

“There were a lot of fans at Plainmoor on Saturday and they were really encouraging. They helped us get that point.”
