With this Saturday’s home match against Gateshead fast approaching, TUAFC is looking forward to providing a group of local children with an especially warm welcome to Plainmoor.

Working together with Play Torbay and Torbay Council Children’s Services, earlier this week the Club provided VIP tours to the lucky group of children, which enabled them to meet members of the footballing staff and off-field team and familiarise themselves with the stadium and their surroundings prior to the big match on Saturday.

Our latest venture will enable up to sixty local children with autism and other learning difficulties to attend each home game for the remainder of the season, with some of these VIP guests attending a professional sporting event for the very first time.

When the day of the match arrives, these children will be welcomed to Plainmoor as guests of the Club, allowing them to enjoy the thrills and spills that only live sport can provide, as well as giving them a unique opportunity to build a lifelong passion for Torquay United. In addition to the on-pitch excitement, the children will also benefit from a Gift Voucher to spend in either the Club Shop or the Food Kiosk, to make the day even more memorable!

TUAFC is proud to be recognised as an all-inclusive, family-orientated Club, and this latest link-up will again see the Club playing an active and supportive role at the very heart of the Torbay community.

As well as working together with Play Torbay and Torbay Council Children’s Services, TUAFC would like to thank the Torquay United Supporters Trust for assisting with the Club’s latest community initiative.

To our first VIPs – see you Saturday!
