Following a month of hard work in in their bid to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK, United’s backroom have now completed November’s Prostate United challenge, raising an astonishing £1,361 in the process.

Torquay United AFC Head of Medical Kai Hepworth, along with Kenny Griffiths, Russell Cleave, Louie Birkenshaw, Andy Roberts and Ryan Scholes all signed up for the challenge to run 5km or cycle 15km every day throughout the month of November to aid this very worthy cause.

Hepworth had this to say following the completion of the challenge:

“We’ve raised a good amount of money, we’re all very happy. It’s amazing, we’re all massively appreciative of everyone that donated, and all the messages that we’ve had along the way.”

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop prostate cancer damaging the lives of men and their families, with the disease being the most common cancer in men. Statistics show that 1 in all 8 men are diagnosed in their lifetime, or even more alarmingly, 1 in 4 black men.

Further information regarding the work of Prostate Cancer UK is available here.

Congratulations lads, and thanks to everybody that donated.
