Boots & Laces is set to host Swim Torquay’s latest Quiz Night this Saturday, 11th November at 7pm.

Following on from their first quiz proving such a success back in June, with a packed out Boots & Laces getting ‘quizzical’ to raise funds for the local swimming pool, Swim Torquay are due to host their latest Quiz on Saturday evening.

Torquay United’s partnership with Plainmoor Community Pool will see teams going head-to-head in pursuit of glory, with all proceeds going towards Swim Torquay. Their last Quiz Night raised £690 for the pool with the funds proving vital to keep the facilities available for the local community.

With entry charged at £5 per person, participants will be able to put their brains to the test in a team environment, with a prize raffle also taking place during the evening.

Swim Torquay’s Plainmoor pool is a four lane, twenty-five metre pool and is based just steps away from the stadium at Plainmoor. The pool is used by many schools which enables children to participate in swimming lessons, which is a very valuable skill, especially here in Torbay.

Since partnering with the Club last October, Swim Torquay is often the base for United players in the days following a match, for Club Physio Regan Miles to get the team in for a pool session as pat of their post-match recovery routine, whilst swimming can also be beneficial for rehabilitation following injury.

A charity-run swimming pool, Swim Torquay relies on donations to be able to continue to provide the local community with both group and individual lessons for all ages, as well as public swimming, with all of the money raised from Saturday’s Quiz Night going direct to Swim Torquay.
