TUAFC would like to thank everyone that attended our most recent Community Day, as guests from local grassroots clubs descended on Plainmoor in their numbers.

In front of the watching BT Sport audience, those in attendance – some watching live football for the very first time – were treated to a thrilling 4-4 draw against Altrincham, and following Tuesday night’s 6-1 hammering of Aldershot, the Yellow Army will hoping that goals will once again be on the menu on Sunday, as Gary Johnson’s side take on League One big-hitters Derby County in the world-famous Emirates FA Cup first round.

Derby – winners of this very competition in 1946, and arguably the biggest club in the first round draw – will no doubt be favourites to progress further. However The Gulls’ fighting spirit has been fully evident recently, and now United will be hoping to add The Rams to the likes of Leeds, West Ham and Blackpool, who have all left Plainmoor with their reputations in tatters in years gone by, following shock defeats at Torquay’s hands, in the world’s oldest knockout competition.

With ITV cameras on hand, perhaps sensing the potential for something special to occur, Torquay United AFC will be enjoying their moment in the footballing limelight on Sunday afternoon, and although there will be plenty of neutrals watching the game from afar, there is only one destination for anyone of Yellow persuasion to be this weekend… here at the stadium, to experience the drama live and in person!

With tickets still remaining for the big game, we’d love to welcome some of our newest supporters back to Plainmoor for the big occasion, so if you enjoyed the Altrincham game, and fancy playing an active part in Sunday’s showdown, then there’s never been a better occasion to book those tickets HERE.

See you on Sunday!
