After visiting Plainmoor to meet United Manager Gary Johnson and Assistant Manager Gary Johnson recently and have some photos taken by his pitch side board, Luke Asplen told us a bit about his business.
“My name is Luke, I’ve got a building company called ASP’S Building Services Torquay. We’re a local company that cover all aspects of building works around Torbay,” began Luke.
“As a building company we cover all aspects – carpentry, plumbing, roofing, tiling, fencing, decking, painting, and decorating, so should you ever want a free quote, just give us a call,” said Luke.
As well as being a pitch sponsor and having a pitchside board at TUAFC, ASP’S are very involved out in the community, with their sponsorship also extending to a number of other teams within the locality.
“We sponsor a few football teams locally around Torbay as well, just to help out, so we do Torquay Academy Under-13s, Watcombe Girls – they’re a new club – Kerswell, and we do Waldon Athletic First and Second teams, so we’re keen to help anyone where we can,” explained Luke.
After helping to arrange a number of ball retrievers for the Club on home matchdays – which has since turned into a regular occurrence for Luke, this, alongside his boys enjoyment of attending fixtures at Plainmoor, led to him becoming a sponsor of the Club.
“We’ve got a board up at Plainmoor for a bit of advertisement. My two kids, I’ve got two boys, one’s twelve and my other one is six, they enjoy Torquay United every weekend,” said Luke.
