Torquay United’s youth teams continue to impress, with eye-catching results and performances continuing across the age groups!

Our Under-18s were in sparkling form once again on Saturday morning, as Ryan Dickson’s side secured an astonishing 8-1 away win at Wimborne.

Top marksman for the Young Gulls, Ben Aldous, once again led the way in the goalscoring ranks, as the striker helped himself to another hat-trick in Dorset, whilst Harvey Field, Isaac McCue, Kai Swann, William Brennan and Jack Kennell against their beleaguered hosts, as Torquay continue to hunt down league leaders Bridgwater in pursuit or retaining the South West Youth Counties title they won so impressively for the first time last term.

TUFC U18s Starting XI: Lloyd Marshall, Harvey Field, Mason Elliott, Callum Thomas, Brandon Quinn, George Collins, Kai Swann, Isaac McCue, Sam Bishop, Liam Poole, Ben Adlous.

Substitutes: Charlie Wills, Luca Staniforth, Jack Kennell, William Brennan.

The rampant display from the Under-18s followed a lively and productive midweek training session from United’s Head of Youth, Robbie Herrera, who stepped up to put the lads through their paces at South Devon College.

Going by last weekend’s scoreline, it’s clear that the combined tutelage and experience of two former professionals in former Gulls Dickson (ex-Plymouth, Southampton and Yeovil) and Herrera (ex-QPR, Fulham and Leyton Orient) did the trick!

There’s also been excellent news in United’s younger age groups.

Following on from the news of our Under 10s’ recent goal avalanche v Plymouth (pictured), our Under 12s enjoyed a memorable experience recently, as the visited the home of Liverpool FC (also pictured).

Keep up the great work lads
