With last year marking the 40th anniversary of the opening of Rowcroft Hospice, the Club joined forces with a number of local businesses, attractions, and landmarks to appear in a unique local edition of Harbro’s iconic Monopoly board game.
With TUAFC unsurprisingly proudly adorning one of the board’s yellow squares, sales of the board game continues to be used to help generate vital funds for Rowcroft Hospice, and with new stock arriving ahead of the festive period, the Yellow Army can now purchase this family favourite for the special price of £25!
Rowcroft Hospice was founded in 1982, and the specialist care provided to the South Devon community over the last four decades has seen the Hospice blossom into an esteemed and well-respected organisation, which cares for more than 2,000 people with life-limiting illnesses across South Devon every year.
Monopoly is a multiplayer property-based board game, originally created in 1935, in which players roll dice to move around the board, buying and trading properties, before developing them with houses and hotels. Players collect rent from opponents, with the goal of the game being to drive opponents into bankruptcy to emerge as the overall winner. Monopoly is renowned for bringing out the competitive streak in even the most passive of personalities!
