Torquay United AFC is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of former Club director, Ron Peterson.
A devoted member of the Yellow Army for many years, Ron continued to support United after stepping down from the Club’s board and attended Plainmoor last Saturday for our pre-season friendly against Plymouth Argyle.
A regular sponsor of United, his support from the stands on match days will be greatly missed by both his former colleagues, and also his many friends at the Club.
The Peterson Family would like people to wear a blue or yellow flower as a mark of remembrance at Ron’s funeral that will take place at Torquay Crematorium on Friday, August 13 at 2pm. The wake will then take place at Plainmoor, The Gulls Nest.
Supporters are encouraged to make a donation to The British Heart Foundation instead of flowers.
