The week begins in big fashion with the Merseyside derby live on the BIG screen in Boots & Laces.

With both teams in very inconsistent form and needing points for very different reasons, it is sure to be a full on Merseyside derby as Liverpool and Everton clash at Anfield. Liverpool haven’t won in the league in 2023, and only an FA Cup replay win against Wolves in the Third Round has seen them taste victory. Everton for their part have a new man at the helm in Sean Dyche, and he got the Toffee’s off to the perfect start in his first game when they beat league leaders Arsenal, though still remain in the bottom three and a point from safety. The match gets underway at 20:00.

European Action Returns!

The rest of the week at Boots & Laces sees a mixture of Premier League and European football, with the return of the Champions League, Europa League & Europa Conference League, as those competitions reach the knockout stages.

Tuesday 14th February sees AC Milan face Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League Last 16 1st Leg game with both sides looking to get a solid lead ahead of the 2nd Leg. That game is at 20:00. Wednesday 15th February takes in the top of the table clash from the Emirates, as Arsenal and Manchester City lock horns in the Premier League for the first time this season with a defeat unthinkable for either side. The action begins at 19:30.

Thursday 16th February takes us to the Nou Camp in the Europa League Last 16 1st Leg game at 17:45, as Barcelona face Manchester United, with both sides looking to get their nose in front before the return game at Old Trafford. That is followed at 19:45 as England’s Lioness’s play their first game in the Arnold Clark Cup, when they play South Korea Women at Stadium MK. Friday 17th February brings Championship action, as Cardiff City look to climb away from the relegation places when they take on Reading at 20:00.

With Gary Johnson’s men in National League action against Barnet on Saturday 18th February (3pm KO), then why not get to Plainmoor early to catch the 12:30 Premier League game, as Aston Villa face Arsenal, before at 17:30 when the action has finished out on the Plainmoor pitch, Newcastle United look to continue their quest for Champions League football next season when they take on Liverpool.

The final two games of the weekend on Sunday 19th February begin at 14:00 when Manchester United face Leicester City, before it’s a London derby at 16:30, as North meets East when Tottenham Hotspur go head to head with West Ham United.
