Torquay United’s preparations for the new season have received a timely boost, with the news that Gulls favourites Armani Little and Jake Andrews have signed new deals with the Club.

Both Little and Andrews have not only established themselves as key men in Gary Johnson’s side over the past two seasons, but have also become hugely popular figures amongst the club’s fanbase.

United’s manager was clearly delighted that the two players have decided to extend their respective stays at Plainmoor – however, the Gaffer also feels that the best is yet to come.

“I’m pleased that two more players with our ‘Torquay DNA’ have agreed, and signed, a deal – they are Armani Little and Jake Andrews,” said Johnson.

“Both are very much part of my plans and both were a little unlucky last year with niggly injuries. They have now cleared up, and I’m sure this season we will see the best of them.

“Once again, I’m delighted that two of my players with our DNA have agreed to sign.”

The confirmation that Armani and Jake will be remaining at Torquay follows the welcome news that Asa Hall, Danny Wright, Dean Moxey and Ben Wynter had already committed to staying on the English Riviera. With Joe Lewis and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans also under contract, The Gulls already have an enviable base on which to build another promotion push upon, ahead the new campaign.

We’ll be bringing you more news over the course of the coming days and weeks, as United’s squad building plans for the 2021/22 National League season continue to gather pace.
