Gilbert The Gull was out and about in the local community at the weekend, when he attended the Hookhills Village Cherry Pie Fair.

Last Saturday saw the annual Hookhills Village Cherry Pie Fair on the green outside the Hookhills Community Centre, in an event aiming to Bring The Community Together, and it certainly did that with a big turnout for the event, with the proceeds going to the Rowcroft Hospice and other local charities that help to support the community.

Gilbert The Gull was in attendance entertaining the children, who were helping our Gull build a nest, while Gilbert was also helping to flick some burgers and sausages on the BBQ. Their was live music from local bands, as well as lots of stalls and games for all ages.

There were fun competitions and games including a tug-of-war, a bouncy castle, as well as face painting, with the raffle and auction providing lots of great prizes to be won, including match tickets for a Torquay United game, and with the cherry pies baked for the event it was a fun packed day had by all.
