Jack Stobbs has bagged himself an early season accolade, after his stunning effort against Braintree was voted by supporters as United’s Goal of the Month for August.
The Yellow Army were spoilt for choice last month, as Gary Johnson’s side scored a number of memorable strikes, however it was Stobbs’ Bank Holiday effort at Plainmoor that eventually got the collective seal of approval from United supporters following the online vote.
“Obviously you take them, it’s nice to be recognised,” said the Gulls winger after being presented with his award earlier this week.
“I’ll always have a go within range – especially from those positions – so expect a few more before the end of the season!”
