TUAFC is grateful to a number of sponsors – old & new – who have already committed themselves to the Club ahead of the new campaign, with United today thanking O’Neill & Holman for their continued support.

Painting contractors O’Neill & Holman was established in October 2017 by friends Rob O’Neill and George Holman, with the company celebrating its fifth anniversary in style at Plainmoor last November, as United ran out 2-1 winners over Dover Athletic.

The duo deal with all quotations and pricing of jobs, as well as site management, with Rob’s cousin Kelly also working full time from their office in Paignton, by dealing with the day-to-day running of the business, as well as assisting customers from quote to completion.

Long-time supporters of the Club, O’Neill & Holman have earned an enviable reputation locally for offering a complete decorating service, internal and external, working on both domestic and commercial contracts. The company complete work all across South West Devon, spanning everywhere from Plymouth to Exeter, and anywhere in between!

O’Neill & Holman also work closely – and professionally – with all other trades, to ensure that any project they undertake runs as smoothly as possible, regardless of size.

With over 25 years experience and a commitment to ensure all their work meets the highest standards of quality, O’Neill & Holman also take pride in completing all their jobs in a clean, tidy and timely manner, always ensuring that customer satisfaction is their top priority.

“We are predominantly painting contractors,” said the company.

“We generally work in South Devon and the surrounding areas. We cover all internal and external decorating contracts and also have specialists in wallpaper hanging and spray coat finishing.”

George’s support of United goes back even longer than their official partnership at Plainmoor, with his passion for the men in yellow stemming from growing up in a family of Torquay supporters. At just three years old, George headed to the old Wembley’s famous twin towers to see Cyril Knowles side take on Bolton in the Sherpa Van Final in 1989, and although the result didn’t go Torquay’s way on that occasion, it clearly didn’t put him off, as he has since had around fifteen years of season tickets!

Although his business partner Rob is a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan – ironically the team Knowles’ Gulls beat to make the 1989 showpiece – he is an avid football fan, who also enjoys coming to support his local club.

Speaking of the company’s link with United, and how it supports their business, they said:

“Apart from being a big supporter of the Club, it’s a great way to get exposure for your business in the local area. It also gives you the opportunity to meet with other sponsors who can help your business.”
