Torquay United AFC is delighted to announce the loan signing of highly-rated defender Harry Perritt from Accrington Stanley.

Perritt has been a professional at the League One club for the past two seasons, and having made his debut for Stanley last season, Harry was rewarded with a two-year deal to remain at The Crown Ground last July.

Having witnessed him in first-team action earlier this term, manager Gary Johnson was understandably delighted to secure the services of the Knowsley-born versatile six-footer.

“Harry Perritt came to our attention quite recently,” began the Gulls boss.

“We watched him play a couple of times in the Accrington first-team, and was impressed with his quality and athleticism. He can play all across the back four, or wing-back, or as a defensive midfield player.

“We’re happy to have him. Unfortunately he won’t play this weekend, as Accrington don’t want to cup-tie him, but he joined us on Thursday, so he’s already had two sessions with the boys, as well as being able to watch the game on Saturday to observe his new team mates.”

United will be in Emirates FA Cup action against Havant & Waterlooville at Plainmoor this afternoon. Ticketing details for the match is available here.
