TUAFC would like to say congratulations to O’Neill & Holman on winning the pitch sponsorship prize for September.
Every month one of our pitch sponsors has the chance to win a prize drawn at random from our list of sponsors, and September saw O’Neill & Holman win a home shirt that was presented to George Holman by United stars Aaron Jarvis & Brett McGavin on a recent trip to Plainmoor.
George Holman is one of the founder members of the company and told us about his business and their involvement here at Torquay United, and his delight at winning the September prize.
“We are delighted to have won the September pitch sponsorship award, with the shirt that has been won to be proudly worn by my son at up and coming games, and I’d like to also thank Aaron & Brett for being here to present me with the prize.”
“We are a team of 13 decorators and a family based company with an office in Paignton, and we cover the Torbay & South Devon area, doing all kinds of domestic & commercial decorating contracts, we work for a lot of property management companies and builders, as well as doing the usual domestic stuff like the lounge, kitchen and dining room.”
“We have been going for seven years and we are fully insured with the correct accreditation, all staff have a minimum of an NVQ Level Two qualification and are trained painters or working towards that qualification as is the case with the apprentices.”
“I’ve been a supporter of the Club since I was a child and been coming up here on & off now for over 30 years, and as soon as we started the business we started doing little bits with Torquay, and then started doing more stuff and it has just increased and carried on from season to season, so it is just nice to be out there and be seen with the two boards, and then we also sponsor one game a season as well as the pitch sponsorship as well, so it is good for us and the community and we really enjoy it.”
