Having been an ever-present since returning to the Club last month, TUAFC is delighted to announce that Stephen Wearne’s loan deal from Grimsby Town has now been extended.
After establishing himself as a favourite with the Yellow Army following a successful loan spell last season, Wearne made the first of seven appearances during November with a memorable second debut for the Club in the 6-1 hammering of Aldershot.
His energetic displays in a Gulls shirt have added another dimension to United’s performances in recent weeks, and manager Gary Johnson was understandably delighted with the news that the midfielder had extended his stay at the Club.
“We’re delighted that he’s extended his loan, and we look forward to him playing a major part in the coming weeks.”
